In today’s musical climate, it is increasingly becoming the norm to attempt to place every artist into preset categories and sub-categories, perhaps in order to give the public an instant opinion on a release without having to go through the hassle of actually listening to the record. For The Chap, this is simply not appropriate. Is it pop? Is it mutated disco? Is it electronica? Is it, heaven forbid, upbeat glitch-core?
